Someone recently responded to one of my reflections on the Book of Isaiah with only a fragment of a verse:
For most of my life I read Isaiah the way everyone does: as an ancient prophecy about distant nations, kings, and conflicts. But once you awaken, once consciousness cracks open even a little, you start seeing something entirely different.
Last night I had one of those dreams that isn’t a dream. The kind that comes with its own atmosphere, its own laws, its own message. It was a dream/vision. And when I woke up, I heard clear as day; “Go into the world.”
Last night I had one of those dreams that doesn’t feel like a dream at all. More like you slipped “over there” - wherever that is - and came back with the edges still glowing.
