At the end of last year I mentioned we were exploring a way to slaughter geese on the farm. It was a long shot, but we received a grant that will pay for equipment to process our birds here at the Hedge.
We ask a lot of our willows. Each plant starts as a stick in the ground and has one chance to reach into the foreign soil and survive on one square foot of earth.
2024 is almost over. 2025 is a drooling something lurking outside our doors, peeking at us through cracks in the blinds.
