Haleh Liza Gafori is a NYC-born translator, performance artist, writer, and musician of Persian descent. Her translations of poems by Rumi, the 13th century mystic, were published by New York Review Books, in two volumes Gold (2022) & Water (2025).
Alexandra Neuman is an interdisciplinary ecofeminist artist working in performance art, video installation, and ritual design. She is currently practicing as a non-denominational chaplain at NYU Langone hospital.
