The reflection
In the lake-
Dipping her toes.
Her shadow fades -
The splash
Still echoes.
Wind blowing -
Leaves floating
Above the water.
Sun on her skin-
Water bleeding
Unto the surface.
Her hand...
I spilled a gallon of milk
Unto a white tablecloth
And didn't even care
To wipe away the stain.
