Skybird, was a CT37, (Slightly different from a Tayana 37) built in Taiwan in 1978 to Darrel’s specifications. She remains one of the most beautiful boats I have ever seen.
One of the perks of working on the ship was the weekly “Captain’s Dinner,” which included champagne. We stewards always made sure there were several bottles open and mostly full at the end of the night. I never tired of it.
