12. 杜撰故事的基地（下）
他不知從哪裡給我找來一盞頭燈，給我戴上。澄黃的燈光照進去，可以見到一條羅馬式建築的螺旋樓梯，向下走，如像可以通往別人的家一樣。往上看，洞穴有對稱的雄偉圓拱，圓拱頂端還有雕飾了的石頂，燈影之下更見弧度的美麗。
記得在法國，有洞穴的地方就能看到聖母馬利亞像，但這裡不。洞穴的柱石是赭紅色的，令人聯想到人體的神經血管，尤其攀爬在柱石上的藤蔓，就更像活體的神經線。不過整個空間並不陰森恐怖，相反它非常古雅，寧謐神聖，讓人感覺到洞穴是人靈魂棲身的居所，能抵擋外邊的瀟瀟煙雨。
