When the light begins to change, I stop and check the time. Somehow, it’s quarter past five, which means I’ve been out here for almost four hours. In another hour it will be dark. Sooner, I think, considering the clouds.
Note: Kinda stuck with a WIP that’s turning out to be a monster undertaking so I banged this out today. This isn’t just some placeholder; idea’s been with me for a good month or so. Not sure about the format but I had some fun with it!
Smell is a time machine. A vortex to which random train of thought doesn’t compare. Sometimes I’m walking down the street I pass every day on my way to work and I catch a whiff of some mélange coming from the coffee shop and the years snap ...
