Monkeypox(Mpox)
As of 25th August, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention(NCDC) has confirmed 48 cases of Monkeypox in over 20 states of the country with children between 0-5 years being the most affected.
Cholera.
On June 9th, 2024, a cholera outbreak was declared in Lagos state with 324 suspected cases, 15 dead and 40 discharged. Neighbouring states are not left out as 3 cases have been confirmed in Oyo and Ogun state respectively.
