說來好笑，我跑了二十多年的倫敦書展，卻不曾離開城市一步。倫敦的街巷錯綜複雜，在智慧型手機誕生之前，我每次出門都要再三查對紙本地圖，生怕迷路，那種恐懼感至今依然清晰，即使現在 Google 地圖那麼方便。我總是告訴自己：反正以後還有機會，但我知道那只是藉口；...

出差的時候手機壞了，回台這兩天忙著轉移資料，以及重新登入那一百多個 app（眼神死），卻也因此打開久未登入的 HBO Max，遇見了紅髮索妮亞。
中文片名是《女王神劍》（Red Sonja），明顯是模仿《王者之劍》的命名邏輯，雖然片中既無女王、也沒有神劍。這個角色初次登上大銀幕是 1985 年《兩個大太陽》（英文片名也是 Red Sonja，中文片名則有夠莫名其妙），此後歷經無數次功敗垂成的重啟，終於在去年拍成，但僅在院線上映一天就上串流，可謂命運多舛。

這原本是 2008 年《霧中回憶》中文版的推薦序。與這本書擦身而過，算是我退出澳洲市場的轉捩點。同一年，我代理的《雅子妃：菊花王朝的囚徒》在台大賣（該書作者 Ben Hill 是澳洲記者），但不久外方也換代理，我幾乎失去所有重要的澳洲客戶。

必須要說，我參加曼谷書展的運氣太好。2023 年初訪，正好詩麗吉王后國家會議中心（QSNCC）歷經多年整修、重新啟用。今年再去，又適逢版權展得到泰國商務部預算掖注，因此規模翻倍、氣勢非凡。
我沒經歷過 QSNCC 的老舊年代、版權中心前兩年的篳路藍縷，直接上來就是最新最大最好，感覺泰國出版產業已經「後發先至」，就像當年中國跳過市話直接用手機、越南跳過電子書直接發展有聲書。
