In the course of my life
I’ve not been very curious
about how much
I allow myself to feel
or not feel
but over the past few years
I’ve tried to understand
what’s going on inside of me
or what might not be
and I’ve learned...

is deliberate,

Sadness and anger
exist in the back
of my heart and soul
and mind
like a shade and
a monster
somehow separate
and yet equally intertwined
and they hide
or rather
parts of me keep them
from really being,
from showing themselves...
To Travel in Time
I found myself sitting
on the couch tonight
after scrolling on my phone
and I hit play
on a playlist called
Feel Inside and Stuff Like that
and I leaned back
against a pillow
and curled my legs under me
