それはたぶん、自然なことです。

1か月毎日書いて気づいた。記事の種は探すものではなかった
サブスタを始めて1か月。
気づけば一日も休まず記事を書いていました。
毎日書いていると、不思議なことがあります。
以前は「今日は何を書こう」と悩んでいたのに、
最近はその時間がほとんどなくなったんです。
先日公開した3本の記事を読み返していて、
その理由が少しわかった気がしました。
並べてみたのは、この3本です。
・娘の落書きの話
・肩書きを名乗れなかった頃の話
・AIイラストに嫉妬した夜の話
テーマも内容もバラバラ...
AIイラストを見て、初めて嫉妬した日
コーヒーはすっかり冷めていました。
何気なく開いた画面に、
一枚のAIイラストが流れてきました。
明るさも、構図も、
色の重なり方もきれいでした。
そのとき、スクロールする指が止まりました。
しばらくその絵を見ていた気がします。
でも、そのとき最初に浮かんだ感情は驚きではありませんでした。
胸の奥が少しだけざわついたんです。
なぜ、その絵に目が止まったのか
その絵には、

何度も消しては戻していた時期があります。

まだ出版もしていない。
受賞歴なんて当然ない。
本屋に自分の本が並んでいるわけでもない。
それなのに「絵本作家」と名乗るのは、
どこか大げさな気がしてました。

夕方、冷蔵庫に向かったとき、

わたしはその前で少し立ち止まりました。
