Because Friday 13th is so firmly linked to horror and bad luck, and I write ghost stories, I thought this would be a lame excuse to write something for Substack and avoid doing any work for a few minutes.
Last weekend I spent a day relaxing, and for a 61 year old bloke with sense of humour issues, I did so in a slightly odd way.
I have seen a number of notes and posts on Substack lately, all repeating the same theme. Writers should not aim for perfection. I happen to disagree, and I would go further. To use a technical term, I would say that is bollocks.
I have just switched off an interview with yet another traditionally published British novelist, private school education, former journalist, and as so often happens, from the colonies, this one Kenya.
