Spring is springing. Whether it’s entirely sprung is a matter of opinion. There are daffodils and snowdrops and absurd cumulous bursts of snow-white blackthorn flowers filling field edges and floating over verges.
I feel as if we are in a state of flux. There are days so sunny and glorious surrounded by verges scattered with daffodils and primroses, quickly followed by grey days and sharp winds and evenings as chill as winter.
I’m still not swimming but the water’s getting warmer (just over seven degrees this morning). Won’t be long I hope.
