Perhaps some might now begin
To reflect on their neuroses
Their stupidity and careless...
The Democracy Of Avocados
Amazons queue for ice cream
Freshly risen from beds full of breadcrumbs
Swallows above them make summer in pairs
As children in cafes below throw tantrums
Roofers as high as an Elephant’s eye
Wash one more down without barely remarki...
For The Birds
The bird on the wire sang more sweetly
Than Old Laughing Len ever did
The Old Laughing Lady became Pretty Peggy
Playing her heart out in his head
The fluffy pink toy flamingo
Had no heart to place his hand on
Not much of a voice to...
Waiting
Some days he feels
Hard done by
By the colour of his blood
Or else by the wind beyond his window
Some days love
Rears its ugly head
And demands
That he kiss her pretty face
And that they then keep time together
Forever keeping scor...
