#674 도서대출 우중산책
오늘의 삼청동
빌린 책들을 반납1하고 새로 빌려오면서 삼청동과 삼청공원을 산책했다. 오랜만의 우중산책이라... 빌린 책으로 가득찬 배낭이 무거웠지만 큰 우산과 상쾌한 공기 덕분에 걸을만 했다. 삼청공원은 이제 주변의 산책로나 등산로로 연결되기 때문에 난이도를 선택할 수도 있는데, 평지로만 걸으면 긴 산책은 하지 못한다. 오늘은 비도 오고 어림짐작으로 15kg을 등에 지고 있으니 가장 짧은 코스로 만족했다.

#672 내가 빌린 책들은 왜 읽은 흔적이 없을까?
모든 책을 다 사서 읽을 수는 없다는 새삼스러운 깨달음에 이르렀다.
읽지 않은 채로 쌓여있는 책은 희망과 절망을 동시에 안겨준다. 서점에 가서 훑어보는 것으로는 이 책을 사도 된다는 확신을 얻을 수 없었다.
공간 문제도 한몫한다. 예전보다 많은 책을 읽다보니 다 읽은 책들이 처치 곤란이다. 중고로는 팔 수 없는 처참한 상태이고, 아까워서 무작정 버릴 수도 없다보니 한켠에 쌓여만 간다.

#671 그 세계에서 저주는 쉽게 풀리지 않는다
뉴스레터를 쓰기 위해 빈 화면을 열면, 무엇을 읽었는지 무엇을 쓰려고 했는지 까맣게 기억이 나지 않는다. 그럴 땐 잠자코 의자에서 일어나 화장실에 가서 볼일을 보고 맥락없이 변기에 세제를 뿌려 솔질을 하고 샤워기로 물을 뿌린다. 하얘진 도기를 보면 조금 기분이 좋아진다.
