What Light Finds
Dear Ma. Dear Ra.
What has been held does not have to remain hidden.
This week, sit together in the gentle light of morning.
Place a hand softly where something from the month of Ma seemed to rest — your chest, your belly, your throa...
Where Memory Rests
Dear Ma. Dear Ra.
Some memories do not ask to be understood.
They ask for somewhere to rest.
This week, return gently to one thing that stayed with you this month.
A sound.
A feeling.
A moment you noticed without trying to keep...
The Sound That Stayed
Dear Ma. Dear Ra.
Some sounds pass through us.
Others quietly remain.
This week, notice whether one sound returns to you after the moment has passed.
A bird you heard in the morning.
A laugh from another room.
Rain against a windo...
The First Sound
Dear Ma. Dear Ra.
After quiet, the world begins to speak.
This week, choose one morning to wake without immediately speaking.
Open a window, step outside, or simply remain where you are.
Listen.
Do not search for a particular sound...
The First Quiet
Dear Ma. Dear Ra.
The world has begun again.
But beginning does not ask us to rush.
This week, set aside one evening of total quiet.
No tasks.
No conversations.
No plans for what this new year must become.
Light a single candle...
