I almost lost my chestnut tree crop to this potting mix mishap!
I usually pot new chestnuts from seed in 1/2 cotton burr compost and 1/2 coconut coir. The trees grew super fast and then developed first leaf curl at tips which turned to brown leaves. Nitrogen poisoning!
