Part three of four: The Kajang of Borneo
Berasap Emang, born 1884, died 1967. Photographed at Pandan, circa 1900, age approximately sixteen. He met Rodney Needham at this same site in 1952 and told him, with geographical precision, who the Punan were and who they were not.
The Punan had a word for what was done to them. They had been living inside "Kajang" the temporary shelter for ninety-three years!
