these dislodge the disquietude

a quicker scribe, true, yet
your grandfather clock is a shanty

The bleed of these
sycophant arms
too slow to sate the leech
yet drains to hush the thirsty
riverbeds, up from which
new blue agaves swoon
And the blood
slow off running
brings a purple sheen to the cracking clay
sand splay...
The Dance of Leaves
In the silence looming
settles on strong storms
born of rain’s humming laughter
prompted by bodily gesturings of thunder
and the unsolicited smile of the lightning’s pale bright
Therein leaves wet wallop
their petals centrifugal...

I wonder where’s the fire
Pale tongues breaking in folds
whispering the warmth that was

crawling up some corner of the Earth

for standing so still
