Last night I went to see No Direction Home, the Bob Dylan biopic I didn’t think I’d want to watch. Timothée Chalamet wouldn’t be my first choice for a gravelly voiced boy in the early 60s but he did a decent rendition. Mainly, I loved it.

Second drafts, second marriages, second cities (Birmingham thank you very much is next on the list after London in size and absolute awesomeness) and allowing yourself another go. Not getting things right first time is a right pain.
I have a current obsession. I’ve been waiting for two months to get it and now it’s here I can only apologise to all the other books I was supposed to be reading - I’m stuck into Onyx Storm and I’ll be up all night reading that.
