There are a lot of reasons an employee can suck.
I want to talk about three.
These are the three I see over and over again when I’m onsite at a gym, watching what’s actually happening on the floor.
Not what you think is happening.

Ask most operators who their customer is, and you’ll get some version of this:
“Yeah, it’s pretty much 25 to 50 years old, men and women, even mix, probably within a five mile radius of us.”
That’s the same answer almost everyone...
There’s a pattern in this industry.
The stuff that actually works usually sounds stupid at first.
Or risky.
Or “there’s no way that would work here.”
Until it does.
And then everyone copies it.
Let’s just get this out of the way:
You’re not annoyed with your employees.
You’re annoyed with your expectations.
Because right now, those two things don’t match.
And until they do… this problem doesn’t go away.
