i have been my sister’s accomplice for a very long time.
she’d have an idea, and she was stubborn as a bone,
and i knew it wasn’t gonna work,
but we’d do it anyways.
winter break came and it didn’t pass over easy. snow piled 3 feet hi...
i wrote this when my dad was sick, he’s not anymore but i thought i’d post it anyways.

creeping along,
slow.
sweet like sugar
sorrow,
all her restless woes.
pale as prayers
and bitter as blame,
i lied to you
because i knew
you wouldn’t see me the same.
i’d have changed....
it is so easy to remember people by what they are reduced to —
their death, their absence,
that one time they were cruel in a unique, profound way.
the worst thing they ever did.
i find it hard to believe a single action can deter...
