海上的黃磚路
從上水騎單車到大埔，曾是我幼時想要達到的其中一個重要里程碑。孩童用的單車速度不高，而且大埔對當時的我來說已是另一個世界，簡直就是一趟遠征。小學以前，我始終未能攻克此關，最遠就只遙遙看到那座發電站，以當時的速度計算，大約還差二十分鐘才到達康樂園吧。當年功虧一簣的原因是我不幸在一條天橋的下坡路炒車受傷了。那條下坡路為了防止單車高速滑下，故意做成一波波的減速丘，我卻沒為意，一鼓作氣的往下衝，當然跌得焦頭爛額了。
我忘了現在那條連接粉嶺與大埔的單車徑是何時落成的。小時候我是要沿大窩...
落大池
我是在粉嶺的公眾泳池學會游泳的，那大約是小學六年級的事。父母沒讓我參加政府辦的泳班，而報了貴很多的私人泳班。我不知道兩者有什麼分別，只知我參加的班的訓練方式很嚴苛。教練的指令以軍訓命令的口吻喊出，在池邊巡來巡去就像管犯人的教官。一班小孩雙手掹着池邊練習踢水，在教練喊停之前，就算筋疲力竭也必須繼續。然而不知何解，我沒有對這種高壓的訓練方式很反感。可能是因為看了《新紮師兄》之類的電視劇，覺得克服嚴苛的訓練是種成就，教練的無禮呼喝代表愛。最後，我成功在 1 分鐘內游完一個直池，獲得...
龍躍頭年代
香港九月的天氣仍然很熱，但聽說已比前兩個月好多了。為了避免臉上的汗水令眼鏡不斷滑下來的尷尬，我索性脫下眼鏡跑步。我是個大近視，街上的景物頓時變得朦朧不清，恍如走進夢中，穿越回過去。路旁的樹大多已沒有花，只有宮粉羊蹄甲1及龍船花還未肯放棄，跟大花紫薇一起開著寥寥幾朵。再過幾天便中秋了，或者八月十五晚我也應該到街上走走，感受一下久違了的佳節氣氛。
我從寄居之處往南跑，經過馬屎埔和聯和墟，跑到曾經生活了幾年的龍躍頭附近。廿多年前我們離開父親後，搬到龍躍頭的村屋。那幢村屋就在龍躍頭...
迴響卻如同幻覺
我大概可以把自己的人生按居住的地區分成幾個階段：1）佐敦（兒童時期）、2）北區（青少年時期）、3）大埔（首兩名孩子）、4）沙田（第三名孩子）、5）曼城。我在大埔待得最久，所以那地方對我的影響也最深。然而，那些最精彩的少年回憶，那塑造我的青蔥歲月，都是在北區發生的。
再度走在上水的街道上的感覺很奇妙。雖然我 20 歲後仍經常到上水，但不算是在那區生活。而接下來這一個月，我將再度成為上水的街坊。
我不認得從機場乘車到上水所經過的路，巴士沒有經過我期待的吐露港，一眨眼高速公路兩...

1:1 夕陽從房間的窗照進來，灑在我的左臂，令我半邊身發盪，半邊身冰涼。冷與熱在我腦中爭戰不休。
