狸花貓 Pancake
早陣子出門，瞥眼見到門前櫻花樹下的草地上長出了一點點的白，那不是在濕冷氣候中生長的白蘑菇，而是嬌小的、含羞答答的雪滴花。雪滴花是花季的先鋒，她們的身影是冬去春來的訊號。再過幾週，櫻花樹下應該便會長出黃色和白色的洋水仙，鄰居門前的連翹一串金（Forsythia）會急不及待搶在葉子長出來之前綻放，梅、玉蘭、茶花等滿街的花兒將如升空的煙火般此起彼落，令人期待。
這已是我第三次在櫻花樹下發現雪滴花的芳踪，也就是說，不經不覺我家已在此地過了三個冬天。

遣懷
我從大埔頭騎單車前往外母家，五歲的女兒便坐在單車後座。大埔是個很適宜騎單車的小鎮，可能是因為有林村河，沒有比在河畔騎單車更寫意的活動了。
大埔頭和大埔尾相距約兩公里，騎單車十五分鐘便到。外母的居所在五樓，我們跳下單車，發現她已站在客廳窗邊。女兒隨即大喊：婆婆！她向我們揮揮手，隨即轉身離開，應該是到厨房準備晚飯去了。
那低層單位的另一扇窗，即睡房的窗，卻屬於另一個身影。那時我和現在的太太還在拍拖階段，每次我離開，她都站在窗邊等候。我抬頭上望，夜空漆黑，街燈昏黃，映得厦的外牆...
晚秋初冬
若以我家的櫻花樹落葉為標準，現在已經入冬了，因為樹上只剩下寥寥可數的葉子。昨天清晨開車之前，擋風玻璃和車身已經結上一層薄霜，要先刮掉才能開車。

如像九十年代初
睡夢中我隱約聽到結他的聲音，重複彈奏著四個一組的和弦，我一聽便認出是哪首歌。我睜開眼，看見一個女孩坐在不遠處的另一張床的床緣，正抱著結他；她身後是我熟睡了的爸媽。
能以結他伴奏的歌，往往以四小節的和弦作前奏。她反覆彈著，像是在邀我同唱。我生怕驚醒家人，便躡足走近，輕輕坐在她身旁。我也不怕靠得太近，右手輕摟著她的肩，嘴唇捱近她的耳邊，靜待她彈到第四小節的後半節，我便唱出那曲子的第一句來：
