「種の記憶」は、なぜ“記憶”なのか
「種の記憶」というタイトルには、
過去を懐かしむだけではない意味があります。
この作品を作るとき、
最初に考えていたのは、
在来の種と、
新しく生まれる種のことでした。
長い時間をかけて、
土地に根づいてきたもの。
人の手や、
時代の変化の中で、
新しく生まれていくもの。
どちらか一方を正しいと決めるのではなく、
それぞれの存在に目を向けたいと思いました。

私はこれまで、
自分の中にあるものを、
うまく表現することができませんでした。
絵を描くわけでもなく、
音楽を作るわけでもなく、
「創作」というものは、
どこか遠い世界のものだと思っていました。
でも、
AIと出会って、
初めて、
頭の中にあった風景を、
少しずつ形にできるようになりました。
それは、
かなり不思議な体験でした。
そして、
