コミュニケーション能力が低い、という言い方が引っかかることがあります。
本当にそうなのかな、と。
人は生まれた瞬間から、コミュニケーションしています。泣いて、笑って、視線で——言葉すら持たない段階から、誰かに何かを伝えようとしてきた。能力はもともと全員に備わっていて、生きる上でずっと磨き続けているものだというのが、私の正直な感覚です。
じゃあなぜ、コミュニケーションがうまくいかない場面が生まれるのか。そのことを、航空の現場での経験から少し考えてみたいと思います。...
AIは、静かに書き換える
AIと一緒に仕事をするようになって、しばらく経ちます。
最初は正直、驚きの連続でした。議事録の要約を頼めば、要点をきれいに整理してくれる。長い資料の改訂を頼めば、思っていた以上にうまく仕上げてくれる。こんなwebサイトを作りたいというと、素晴らしいものを生成してくれる。「こんなに使えるのか」と感じた方も多いのではないでしょうか。私もそうでした。
ただ、その「うまくやってくれる」という感覚が、曲者だったかもしれません。
気づいたのは、ずいぶん後...

主席になって、路線室長になって。
肩書きが少しずつ変わっていきました。
私は「自分は何も変わっていない」と思っていました。
泊まり先でも気さくに飲んで、冗談を言い合っていた副操縦士たちが、ある時期からちょっと距離を置くようになってきた。本音を言わないような、当たり障りのない会話が多くなりました。
「なぜなの？私は何も変わっていないのに」
本気でそう思っていました。

AIは「作るもの」は分かる。でも「壊すな」は察してくれない。
ある会社の社内で使う業務ツールを、Claude Code（AIのコーディングアシスタント）に作らせています。
その中で、同じような失敗を、立て続けにふたつやらかしました。
一回目：「行の削除ボタンを増やして」と頼んだら、別の画面にあった削除ボタンが消えた。
二回目：「スマホで画面がぶれるから直して」と頼んだら、レイアウトは直ったけれど、月別の列の横スクロールが効かなくなった。
どちらに共通しているのは、私が「触ってほしくない」と言わなかったものが、壊れたということです...

自信が持てなかった訓練
タッチアンドゴーという訓練があります。
離陸したらすぐに旋回して、滑走路と逆向きに平行飛行。もう一度滑走路に向かって旋回して、着陸する。上から見ると、滑走路を一辺にした長方形のコースを、ひたすら周回している形になります。
着陸のときは、滑走路の中心線に機体の中心をぴたりと合わせなくてはいけません。長方形の最後の一辺を、滑走路の延長線上にきれいに乗せていく——旋回しながら、自分の機体が今どこにいて、このまま降りていったらどこに接地...
