天井の高い家に、憧れる。
圧迫感がなく、開放的な空間は、さぞかし気持ちの良さそうだ。
しかし、だ。

隣の芝生は青く見えたという話
今日も気づけばスロット台に向き合っていた。
最初に始めたのは学生時代。
友人に勧められたのがきっかけだった。
結婚してから一旦は、しばらく離れていた。
だが1人になった今、またこうして台とお見合いしている。
自分のための時間、いや、自分だけの時間。
離婚した当初は、

なぜそう思うようになったかと言えば、 もっと大切にすべき人と向き合えなかった過去があるからだ。
話を聞いてるようで、ちゃんと聞いてない。 音声だけ聞いて、思いを汲めなかった。
思いを伝えてるようで、伝わってない。言葉を発するが、体温がのっていなかった。
一緒にいても、孤独な思いをさせてた。自分だって辛いんだと言い訳しながら。
そんな自分の弱さに気づいたのは、 離れて少し経ってからだった。

気づいたら、発信が義務になっていた。
ポストをつくる時、
「この言葉、強すぎるかな」と迷う。
「何時に出さないと」と時間に追われる。
なんだか、疲れてしまう日々だった。...
ちょっと自己紹介の代わりに。
人間関係で、ほとんど悩んだことがない。

これが私の、唯一の長所かもしれない。
なぜそうなったのか考えてみた。
たぶん、幼少期の体験によるものだと思う。
当時の母は妹の看病につきっきりのことが多かった。
だから自然と、祖母と過ごす時間が長かった。
祖母は同じ話を何度もしてた。 ゆっくり、ゆっくりと同じことを繰り返す。
でも私は、その話をいつもニコニコと聴いていたようだ。
ある時、その姿を親戚の人に褒められたことがある...
