This is how much warmer or colder these waters are than the 1991–2020 average for this day. Look at how HOT the Great Lakes are and the southern half of Hudson Bay. Look at how hot the Baltic Sea is and the Arctic Ocean waters above Siberia...
See that. That’s a measurement of the amount of HEAT ENERGY that's in the Ocean. 2024 has been holding steady at the same level as 2023. Indicating that this is a NEW BASELINE for future warming.
