I’m writing you all from the top of a mountain in Portugal. From its only national park, Peneda-Gerês, covering the north along the border with Spain, with Galicia to be exact.
A recent afternoon, I found myself emerging from a cave, stalactites cathedral-like over my head, and into a meadow. Grassy, like so many are. Unremarkable in its vegetation, just herbal miscellany of greens and browns.
