悪いところばかり、似てしまう気がしていた
ある日、夫がこんな話をしてくれた。
姉弟で芋けんぴを食べていたとき、1歳の息子がパパに、
「どうじょ」
と分けてくれたらしい。
それを見て、これまで自分が食べているおやつを絶対に分けることのなかった娘も、
「どうぞ」
と渡してくれたらしい。
これは、わが家では驚くべき快挙である。
その話を聞いていた娘が、こう言った。
「娘ちゃんのほうが、パパにいっぱいあげたよね？」
弟が分けてあげたのを見て、自分も分けた。
そして、自分のほうがたくさんあげたことを伝えた...
仕事を応援したい私と、家にいてほしい私。どっちも本当
付き合っていた頃、カラオケの部屋にひとり残された。
歌っている途中、彼の職場から「緊急事態が起きた」と電話がかかってきたからだ。
「ごめん」
そう言い残して、私を置いて、車で仕事場へ向かった。
それでも、平気だった。
むしろ、
「1人カラオケ、初めてだ！」
と、少し楽しんだ。
そのあと、結構な距離を歩いて家まで帰った。
仕事を頑張ってる人が好き
私は昔から、仕事を頑張っている人を好きになってきた。
相手に「頑張ってね」と圧をかけたくないから、すでに...
たかがひとくち、されどひとくち
「もう無理して食べなくていいよ。残してもいいよ」
「やあだ〜」
食べ始めてから、もうすぐ1時間になるのに、娘は白米だけを平らげ、残りにはひとくちも手をつけていなかった。
残すのは嫌。
でも、食べるのも嫌。
頑固娘と頑固母の戦いが始まっていた。
ひとくちをめぐる攻防
その日は鍋だった。
帰宅が少し遅くなったので、手軽に野菜やお肉を食べられるようにしたかった。
でも娘は、鍋や汁ものが苦手だ。
そこに好きなものが入っていても、野菜やきのこと一緒になっている...
人に会わない生活で眠っていたスイッチ
せっかく会うなら、少しでもよく見られたい。
まつ毛パーマのタイミングを調整して、夏限定のフットネイルをしにサロンに行った。
夫や子どもたちにファッションチェックも頼んだ。
Substackで知り合った さんと、初めて直接会うことになったからだ。
普段、私は在宅で仕事をしている。
家にいることが多く、新しい人に会う機会はめったにない。
オンラインで出会った人と、画面の外で会って話す。
私にとっては、未知の世界だった。
